Porto (Oporto in english) is the second-largest city in Portugal and has an international airport - OPO.
Porto was the European capital of culture in 2001, it's old town histórico was selected as World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1996, was elected as "European Best destination" in 2012 and 2014, and elected by the Lonely Planet as the "Top 10 European Destinations for 2013".
The city is known to be the Northern Portugal's capital, for it's famous wine (Port Wine) and it's football (soccer) club - the FCPorto.
Through Porto flows the Douro River (golden river) ,where the Port Wine is brought, and it ends on the Atlantic Ocean.
The pilgrim ways (Saint James - Compostela or the Fátima) starts also in Porto.
